ARIZONA INSURANCE PRELICENSING INFORMATION

Arizona does not require licensing candidates to complete prelicensing education; however, Advantage Education Group highly recommends that you complete an educational course before attempting to take your state’s licensing exam.

To qualify for this offer, you must pass our Readiness Exam with a score of 80% to determine maximum exam readiness. While completing this portion of your online course is not required, we highly recommend taking this extra step.

HOW DO I GET MY LICENSE?

Step 1 (optional):
Complete an optional prelicensing course that helps prepare you to take and pass your licensing exam.

Step 2:

Schedule your exam with your state’s testing provider, Prometric. The fastest way to schedule your exam is to do so online with Prometric/AZ. You can also schedule your exam over the phone at (800) 853-5448. To change or cancel your testing appointment, you must contact Prometric at least 48 hours in advance or forfeit the examination fee.

Step 3:

Take and pass your state licensing exam. On the day of your appointment, you must bring with you one valid form of government issued identification (driver’s license, passport, military I.D., etc.) that must contain a photograph and a signature.

You will not be able to take your exam if these requirements are not met.

At the end of your exam, your score will be shown on the screen and you will receive a printed score report. The report shows your overall score and grade, including the numerical percentage of questions answered correctly and whether you passed or failed.

Step 4:

After passing your licensing exam, schedule your fingerprinting appointment with Fieldprint. Navigate to the Fieldprint website: https://arizona.fieldprint.com. Note: Do not schedule your fingerprint appointment until you have passed your licensing exam. You will not be fingerprinted if you do not pass your exam, as all fees are non-refundable. Candidates who pass all parts of an examination will receive a score report. The report shows your overall score and grade, including the numerical percentage of questions answered correctly and whether you passed or failed. For those candidates who fail one or more parts of the examination, a separate numeric score for each failed part will be reported.

Step 5:

Apply for your license with NIPR. Detailed licensing information can be found through the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions

Step 6:

Maintain your license by being aware of your continuing education requirements. Most insurance licenses must be maintained by completing a certain number of credit hours of continuing education each licensing period. Advantage Education Group offers continuing education courses that will help you comply with your state’s requirements.
